We’re Erik and James, the founders of CultureWaveMedia. We met for the first time at an Oakland Roots match, and from that moment on, a friendship formed around our shared love for sports, music, and storytelling. What started as two creatives talking in the stands eventually turned into a bigger vision—building our own outlet that captures the energy, emotion, and culture behind the moments we love. CultureWaveMedia grew out of that dream. We wanted a platform that blends sports and music, highlights the stories that matter, and gives our community coverage that feels fresh, creative, and real.
