SAN JOSE, Calif. — The San Jose Earthquakes have officially dropped their new secondary jersey for the 2026 MLS season, unveiling the “Dead Kit” by adidas — a Grateful Dead-inspired design that leans all the way into Bay Area music culture.

The club and league described the kit as a tribute to the Dead’s psychedelic roots, specifically honoring the band’s first 1965 show in San Jose and the long-running connection between local culture and the community around the team.
Visually, the jersey is built around a blue tie-dye look, and the Chronicle notes it also includes the band’s iconic skull mark as part of the overall theme.

The Earthquakes are set to debut the Grateful Dead kit at PayPal Park on Feb. 28 vs. Atlanta United, and fans in attendance will also receive a commemorative poster by legendary Bay Area artist Stanley Mouse (while supplies last).
As for availability: MLS coverage says the jersey is available to preorder now, with pickup at the new Epicenter Shop on Feb. 14.
