Orlando City delivered one of the wildest results of the MLS season, coming from three goals down to beat Inter Miami 4-3 in a chaotic Florida Derby at Nu Stadium.

For most of the first half, it looked like Miami was on its way to a statement rivalry win. Lionel Messi helped lead the charge with a goal and two assists as Inter Miami built a 3-0 advantage, putting Orlando in a position where the match looked nearly finished. But the second half completely flipped the story. Martín Ojeda took control for Orlando, scoring a hat trick and dragging the Lions back into the match before Tyrese Spicer completed the comeback with a stoppage-time winner.

According to MLS, Orlando’s comeback marked only the third time in league history that a team won after trailing 3-0. For a club that had been searching for a spark early in the season, doing it against an in-state rival made the moment even bigger.

For Miami, the loss will sting. The Herons had the star power, the lead, and the home crowd, but could not close the match out. Their struggles at Nu Stadium also continued, with MLS noting that Miami is now winless in four games since opening the new venue.

For Orlando, this was more than three points. It was a reminder of what their attack can become when everything clicks. Ojeda’s performance gave the Lions a true statement moment, while Spicer’s winner turned the night into one of the most memorable rivalry matches of the year.
