LAS VEGAS, Nev. — Metallica has released official performance videos of "...And Justice for All" and "The Call of Ktulu" from the opening night of its Life Burns Faster residency at Sphere. The clips, recorded October 1, bring two of the production's most visually ambitious moments beyond the venue and onto the band's official media channels.
The releases arrived as the Bay Area band continued the residency with its fifth Sphere performance on Thursday. Metallica's October 15 set covered eight albums and included "Battery," "Creeping Death," "Welcome Home (Sanitarium)," "Nothing Else Matters," "Seek & Destroy" and "Master of Puppets," along with both songs featured in the newly shared videos.
Visual production remains central to the residency. Metallica credits Industrial Light & Magic with imagery for several segments, including "The Call of Ktulu," while Treatment created the visuals for "...And Justice for All" and much of the rest of the set. The scale of Sphere allows the band to turn familiar songs into a wider cinematic presentation without abandoning the rotating-set approach that has defined its recent live era.
For CultureWave's entertainment audience, the releases offer a closer look at how one of the Bay Area's most enduring acts is adapting its catalog to a venue designed around immersion. Metallica is scheduled to return to Sphere on October 17 as the residency continues.
