CLEVELAND — June 6, 2026: Brazil wrapped up its final preparation match before the 2026 FIFA World Cup with a 2–1 win over Egypt at Huntington Bank Field in Cleveland.
The Seleção got off to a fast start when Bruno Guimarães opened the scoring early in the first half, giving Brazil control of the match. Egypt responded quickly through Mostafa Ziko, who brought the game level and reminded Brazil that the night would not be easy.
After halftime, Brazil found the winner through teenage forward Endrick. The Real Madrid attacker came off the bench and made an instant impact, finishing a chance created by Raphinha to restore Brazil’s lead and give Carlo Ancelotti’s side a narrow victory.
The win gave Brazil a positive result heading into its World Cup opener, but the night also came with concern after right back Wesley suffered a left thigh injury that later ruled him out of the tournament.
